Welcome to AOP 2017
We are very pleased to inform you that the III International Conference on Applications in Optics and Photonics (AOP 2017) will be held in Faro, Portugal, from the 8th to the 12th of May 2017.
The present scientific activity is the 3rd edition of successful meetings, which started upon the extraordinary success of the first International Conference on Applications in Optics and Photonics, AOP2011, organized by the Portuguese Society for Optics and Photonics, SPOF, at the University of Minho (www.optica.pt/aop2011), followed by a second edition in Aveiro (www.aop2014.org). Il will be the major optics conference in Portugal next year and one of the most important at world level, aiming at discuss the recent progress and to establish a view on the future of all fields of optics and photonics.
Faro, capital of Algarve, with its pleasant and endless sandy beaches, is a charming and lively city with nice hotels, restaurants and surroundings. By May the summer season and the first really warm beach days have already begun, with beautiful clear, sunny days and temperatures rising to the twenties.
Abstracts, to be submitted by January 15, 2017, are welcome in all fields of optics and photonics. ISI indexed proceedings will be published by SPIE and selected papers will be published on a special issue of Optical and Quantum Electronics
