The 20th European Fusion Physics Workshop (EFPW20) will take place from 3 to 5 December 2012 at the Hotel Vila Galé in Ericeira, Portugal (close to Lisbon), and is hosted by the Association EURATOM - Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). The title of this year’s workshop is "Power Exhaust in Fusion Devices: from Conventional to Innovative Solutions".

The STAC has agreed on the following session topics and proposed Session Chairs:

1. Power exhaust issues for ITER and DEMO: Emmanuelle Tsitrone (CEA)
2. Advances in technologies for power exhaust solutions: Michael Rieth (KIT)
3. Innovative exhaust magnetic configurations (snow flake, super-x, etc ...): William Morris (CCFE)
4. Liquid metal plasma facing components: Giuseppe Mazzitelli (ENEA)
5. Integrated modelling of plasma exhaust: Marco Wischmeier (IPP)

Participants should plan to arrive during the afternoon/evening of Sunday, 2 December. The workshop is scheduled to finish around lunchtime on 5 December. Most participants should therefore be able to depart that day.

IPFN will offer a visit to the nearby Mafra National Palace on Wednesday afternoon (from 14:00 to 15:30). Transfers to Lisbon airport will be provided after the visit (estimated airport arrival time: 4 pm).

Transport from/to the Lisbon airport will only be provided on Sunday, 2^nd December afternoon/evening and Wednesday, 5^th December afternoon (not included in the registration fee).

The workshop will take place in the Hotel Vila Galé in Ericeira, a small town by the sea near Lisbon. Accommodation and main meals for workshop participants will also be provided at the Hotel. Shuttle-bus transfer from and to the airports will be arranged for participants on the official arrival and departure days as requested on the registration forms. Internet access will be available in the congress room and in the hotel lobby. 90 rooms have been reserved for workshop participants. Extra nights before or after the workshop can be arranged on request by the local organizers.

The workshop fee of 480 Euros will cover your workshop attendance as well as accommodation (arrival 2 December, departure 5 December 2012) in single room (or single-occupancy double room) at Hotel Vila Galé and meals from dinner on Sunday, 2^nd December* to lunch on Wednesday, 5^th December. It also includes coffee breaks and conference services. The registration fee does not, however, include any other charges to your room and these must be settled separately with the hotel prior to departure.

Airport transfer will be organized on Sunday, 2^nd December afternoon/evening and Wednesday, 5^th December afternoon at a cost 60 € (both ways).

The accompanying-person fee of 200 Euros includes three nights accommodation, breakfast and dinners, but no lunches. This fee is also to be paid at the time of registration, along with the participant’s registration fee.
