<p>The ITCPS 2011 is hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico.</p>

<h3>Instituto Superior Técnico</h3>

<p>The <b>Instituto Superior Técnico (IST)</b>, created in 1911, is the largest and most reputed school of engineering, science and technology in Portugal. IST&#39;s mission is to contribute to the development of society by promoting a higher education of outstanding quality in the areas of Engineering, Science and Technology, at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and by carrying out research and development activities in accordance with the highest international standards.</p>

<p>With two conveniently located campuses ('Alameda' in Lisbon and 'Taguspark' in Oeiras), IST consists of ten Departments and one Autonomous Section that are responsible for teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes. In addition, there are a great number of R&amp;D centres located on campus, which are an important source of support to the teaching and research activities carried out at IST.</p>
