APPLAuSE 2019 Welcome Reception
On September 20th, the new students selected to the 6th cohort of the APPLAuSE doctoral programme were received by their colleagues and instructors, in a welcome session organized by IPFN.
The new APPLAuSE students are João Oliveira, Miguel Pardal, Pedro Silva, Bernardo Malaca, Patrícia Estrela, Francisco Antão, Daniel Costa and Tiago Dias. For the first time, all of the new students are Portuguese.
APPLAuSE is a doctoral programme on Plasma Science and
Engineering consisting of a student-centred and highly modular PhD programme,
designed to enhance each student’s capabilities and maximize his/her potential.
The global objective of the programme is to provide each student with a broad knowledge in the field of plasma science and engineering by promoting a close interaction with renowned specialists, and to allow an in-depth expertise in the chosen area of specialization by providing unique opportunities for personal development and intellectual growth, in a friendly and collaborative international environment.
We welcome the new members and wish them a successful journey here at IPFN.
