• Laserlab-Portugal
    Access to state-of-the-art lasers

Laserlab-Portugal is a distributed research infrastructure providing state-of-the-art laser systems to the scientific and industrial communities.

The two nodes are based in Lisbon and in Coimbra and offer the following capabilities:

  • L2I, Lisbon – very high power pulsed lasers for the study of the properties of matter at high light intensities.
  • CLL, Coimbra – photochemistry, photobiology and photomedicine.
  • This know-how covers a vast amount of laser parameters with application in physics, chemistry, materials, biology, medicine and other fields, and serves a very active scientific and industrial community. Both LLPT nodes are members of the Laserlab-Europe consortium, the Integrated Initiative of European laser research infrastructures.

Laserlab-Portugal is funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia in the scope of the Portuguese Roadmap of Research Infrastructures.
