Abstract Submission

The Abstract Submission is now closed.

Deadline for abstract submission: 21th January 2019 (until 23:59:59 Western European Time)

Authors are invited to submit abstracts on any of the given topics. The International Scientific Committee will select oral and poster contributions on the basis of the abstracts.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the online form published at the ECPD 2019 webpage. Abstracts sent by email or by any other means will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts must be written in English and must not exceed 300 words.
  • The purpose of the research, prinicipal results and major conclusions must be clearly stated.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official meeting programme.
  • All accepted and published abstracts must have registered presenting authors. Only one abstract will be accepted per registered participant.
  • Decisions by the International Scientific Committee for abstract acceptance in the programme are final.
  • Authors will be notified by email no later than 15th February 2019 about their abstract acceptance.

Publications and Full Paper Submission

The proceedings of the 3rd ECPD 2019 will be published in the Proceedings Section of the Journal of Instrumentation (JINST).

Paper submission is open until the 30th June 2019.

If you do not already have an user account on the JINST, please register at the jinst.sissa.it site prior to submission. After the registration/login, go to the proceedings submission page, select "submit a paper" on the ECPD2019 box, and follow the instructions therein.

Kindly notice that the number of pages should not exceed:

  • 6 pages for posters/contributed talks (15 min. including discussion)
  • 10 pages for invited talks (30 min. including discussion)
  • 12 pages for tutorial talks (45 min. including discussion)

Presentation and Poster Guidelines

Presentations should be made either in powerpoint or PDF formats. The aspect ratio of the projection system is 16x10 (panoramic).

Presentation files (.pptx or .pdf) must be handed to the "Slide Desk" at least 2 hours prior to the beginning of the session.

Posters should be made in portrait mode and should not exceed the dimensions of an A0 format: 841 mm (width) x 1189 mm (height).
