  • MARIA was a finalist in the Appstation The MARIA is a Mobile Application for Radiation Intensity Assessment, developed under the project FRIENDS, to be used in drones or in common smartphones connected to a radiological sensor.

    The MARIA was selected as one of the 12 finalists among 50 projects candidates in the Appstation competition, in October 2018, to select the best mobile application.

  • FRIENDS presented in the Defense and Security Workshop The project FRIENDS was presented by a poster in the Defense and Security Workshop - Nuclear Technologies and Advanced Materials for Defense and Security at the C2TN campus, Bobadela, on November 2018.

    The event was an opportunity to seek new partnership with the Portuguese Armed Forces, namely the Navy, Army and Air Force, as well as their respective schools

  • MARIA presented in the Lab2Market at IST MARIA was one of the selected projects in the 2019 edition of Lab2Market at IST.

    Lab2Market@Tecnico is an innovation acceleration program. The 2019 edition has the support of i-Deals and Everis Portugal to provide a total of 250 hours of business mentoring to the selected projects.

  • FRIENDS with an oral presentation in ANIMMA'2019 FRIENDS was presented in ANIMMA'2019 and resulted in the paper "Radioactive hot-spot detection using unmanned aerial vehicle surveillance".

    ANIMMA'2019 is the 6th International Conference on Advancements in Nuclear Instrumentation Measurement Methods and their Applications. This conference took place in Portorož, Slovenia, 17-21 June 2019.
