With a staff of almost 200, IPFN is the largest research unit in Physics in Portugal. Its members are distributed among the several research groups and range from research associates and post-docs to PhD and Msc students, technicians and administrators.
Every year there are new students joining IPFN for their master and doctoral thesis, supported by an expert team of researchers and collaborators.
Funding
The main agencies funding IPFN are Euratom and Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. We also host a large number of projects funded by other entities such as H2020 and ESA, as well as industrial patnerships.
