Seminar: State-of-the-Art Mobile Radiation Detection Systems for Different Scenarios
In the last decade, new developments in mobile radiation detection systems brought new improvements and challenges in the detection, quantification, localization and identification of radioactive sources or the mapping of a contaminated areas. For this analysis four scenario types will be considered. Small platforms such as unmanned vehicles, in particular unmanned aerial vehicles, requires higher efficient and energy resolution detectors together with other features such as: compactness, reliability, low-cost, low power consumption and less expensive devices.
This seminar will be presented by PhD student Major Luís Marques (CIDIUM/AFA), under the supervision of researchers dr. Alberto Vale (IPFN/IST) and dr. Pedro Vaz (C2TN/IST).
