High-School students visit IPFN

From 19 to 24 of February, the XXI Physics Week takes place at Instituto Superior Técnico, a project developed by NFIST - Núcleo de Física of Instituto Superior Técnico, with the goal of promoting scientific education in Portugal.
During these days, the Physics Week promoted several visits to IST laboratories, namely some of IPFN labs: the ISTTOK TOKAMAK, the L2I (Intense Laser Laboratory), and the MotLab (Ultra-cold Atoms and Quantic Plasmas Laboratory).
In each one of these labs, high-school students from several areas of Portugal had the opportunity to know a bit more of the research made at IPFN, and talk to the researchers.
Also this week, NAPE - Student Support Unit of IST - showed Técnico to students from the Cluster of Schools of Santa Iria. Among other places, they had the chance to visit TOKAMAK ISTTOK and PEL (Plasmas Engineering Laboratory).
We always like to have visits and show the work that we develop here. If you want to visit us, just contact us via e-mail: ipfn@ipfn.tecnico.ulisboa.pt , or contact NAPE - Student Support Unit.
