Astronaut Jean-Jacques Favier and Eric Jurado at ESTHER facilities
As part of the space specialists' programme in Lisbon, IPFN hosted a visit to ESTHER's facilities. The former astronaut and the space specialist were escorted by the French ambassador Jean-François Blarel and his committee, and welcomed by IPFN President Bruno Gonçalves, IST President Arlindo Oliveira, IST Vice-President José Marques, Prof. Luís L. Alves, Prof. Mário Lino da Silva and Prof. Bernardo Carvalho.
The research held in Gas Discharges and Gaseous Electronics IPFN's group is part of the European Space Agency experiment on highly-excited plasmas.
