Professor Richard Engeln visits IPFN

Professor Richard Engeln, from the Department of Applied Physics of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), is visiting N-PRiME and IPFN from 5 October to 3 November 2021.

He is a specialist in laser diagnostics, including spectroscopic studies using Raman, CARS and CRD spectroscopy. His research currently focuses on the study of plasmas for gas conversion and the development of optical diagnostics to study the reaction kinetics and dynamics of these conversion processes.

Prof. Richard Engeln is involved in the H2020 MSCA-ITN Project PIONEER, where IPFN is also a participant, co-supervising with Vasco Guerra the PhD thesis of Maik Budde, to investigate methods to vibrationally excite CO2 with plasmas.
