Tiago C Dias finalist for GEC award

Tiago C Dias, member of N-PRiME/IPFN and PhD student of the APPLAuSE programme, was selected as one of the finalists for the Student Award of Excellence of the Gaseous Electronics Conference (GEC). The award is to encourage and recognize the important contributions students make to the GEC, specifically, and to the plasma/atomic-molecular optical science fields, in general.

Tiago Dias is one of the five finalists selected for the award and will receive a recognition certificate that acknowledges the shortlisting and 'honours your contribution and achievements'.

The finalists will compete for the award and will be selected based on their contributed talks at the 76th Gaseous Electronics Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Tiago will deliver a talk on 'Unified Monte Carlo formulation of nanosecond discharges'.

The final winner will be announced during the conference and will receive a cash price and a certificate.

Congratulations Tiago and good luck!
