IPFN at Ciência 2019

The Ciência 2019 meeting was held at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, Portugal from July 8-10. IPFN was represented in this edition by Mario Lino da Silva, who gave a talk about the recent commissioning of the European Space Agency ESTHER Shock-Tube.

Another highlight of our participation was the GoLP Virtual Reality Lab (pictured), a project headed by Giannandrea Inchingolo, APPLAuSE Ph.D. student, in collaboration with other GoLP members, receiving extremely positive feedback from the audience with more than 200 people stopped by during the event.

Ciência 2019 was the latest edition of the annual meeting of Portuguese researchers. It aims at promoting a broad debate on the main topics and challenges of the scientific agenda beyond the world of research. The meeting is promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture – Ciência Viva, and the Parliamentary Commission of Education and Science, and has the institutional support of the Government through the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
